Hilberling is a German manufacturer of high-frequency technical devices. The company is based on Heinrich-Hertz-Strasse in Schacht-Audorf ( Schleswig-Holstein ). The high-frequency development laboratory Hans Hilberling was founded in Osterrönfeld in 1988 and converted into Hilberling GmbH based in Rendsburg in 1993 .

Hilberling primarily develops, manufactures and sells professional high-frequency devices. These include HF generators , in particular for marking lasers , as well as power supply units and HF power amplifiers for various frequency bands in the range from around 30 MHz to 3 GHz.

history

The company's founder, Hans Hilberling, not only runs the company, but is also its chief developer. He was born in Holstein and initially worked as a development engineer after training and studying . Among other things, he developed radio communication equipment for military transport aircraft of the Transall type . Then he was entrusted with the development of marine radio systems for the German Navy and cordless telephones at Hagenuk .

Hilberling founded the company on June 1, 1988. After his garage initially served as a temporary laboratory, he and eight employees moved into a building in Rendsburg in 1991. By 1996 the number of employees rose to twenty.

In 2015, with now 30 employees, the foundation stone was laid for a new building in the industrial park in the neighboring Schacht-Audorf, where the company moved in 2016.

Amateur radio technology

The business field of professional high-frequency technology and high-frequency measurement technology represents the basis of business activity. From 2008 the field of amateur radio technology was added.

In his own words, the boss has been interested in radio technology since his early youth : “When other children played in the sandpit, I was interested in decommissioned radios.” Hans Hilberling has been a licensed radio amateur with the call sign DK7LG since 1972 . This led to Hilberling, at his suggestion, devoting himself to amateur radio technology beyond professional high-frequency technology. Today it is the only German amateur radio manufacturer.

The PT-8000A transceiver became known . It covers the amateur radio bands 160 m to 2 m and came onto the market in 2010. In addition, an optional power amplifier HPA-8000B has been available since 2016 , which covers the frequency range from 1.8 MHz to 70 MHz. Hilberling also has station microphones and telegraph keys in his range.
