Hilde Mueller

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hildegard Elisabeth Martha "Hilde" Müller (born November 16, 1902 in Berlin ; † unknown) was a German actress , a child star of the early silent films .

Live and act

Hilde was a daughter of the actor and opera singer Franz Müller (1861 / 62–1905), who came from Szczecin, and his wife Elisabeth b. Ostwald. Even as a small child, Hilde and her siblings Lotte and Rolf came into contact with the world of stage and film through their parents. In 1921 Hilde wrote about how she came to the theater: Almost born on the stage, because as a screaming brat of ¾ years I was carried to the board world in “Judith” and “Wintermärchen” . At the same point she said about her preferred role subject: I don't have much left for the comedy, but rather the character subject.

From 1910 onwards, countless children's roles in early silent films followed, often at the side of her sister Lotte. Hilde's partners in front of the camera were such established actors as Viggo Larsen , Max Mack , Wanda Treumann , Emil Jannings and, time and again, Henny Porten , whose daughter mostly played Hilde. In the early 1920s, the young woman withdrew from film. Nothing is known about her further life.

Hilde Müller is occasionally confused with another Hildegard Müller, born in 1920, who was involved in the 1937 film Daphne and the Diplomat .
