Wanda Treumann (born November 17, 1889 in Koclo , Upper Silesia , † probably in the 1940s) was a German actress and film producer .

Life

She came from Leipzig to Berlin with her husband Karl Treumann, where she received acting lessons at Emanuel Reicher's theater school. In 1910 she made her debut at the Trianon Theater , further stage stations were the New Theater and the Königgrätzer Theater. She was discovered by the Danish actor and film pioneer Viggo Larsen while performing at the Berlin Lustspielhaus .

Larsen brought her to film, where she was his partner for several years. Together with Larsen and her husband, she founded “Treumann Larsen Film GmbH” in 1912. As an actress, she has appeared in at least 30 films and as a producer she has even been responsible for over 80 films, many of which, however, were very short. After her last films in 1922, she retired from the film business.

The date of death of Wanda Treumann is unknown. In 1929 she could still be seen in the play " A Gender ". Kay Wenigers The film's large dictionary of persons dates her death to a time not before the late phase of World War II, " but possibly in the 1940s ."
