action

Mr. Haselbach is anything but an animal lover, but unfortunately he fell in love with the veterinarian Hanna Köhler! In order to be able to land with her, he reluctantly bought a dog to have a reason to drop by her every now and then. Hanna immediately recognizes that the animal is very healthy, but immediately suspects that the dog is probably only a means to an end. She thinks Haselbach's idea is cute, and it doesn't take long for the two of them to become a couple and the veterinarian, Mrs. Haselbach. When Hanna's heiress Cassandra from America signs up for a visit, it is red alert. The quirky older lady thinks that women don't need men to be happy. Her motto was always: "Losing the man!" Since Hanna had also been unmanned up to now, Cassandra and her niece had gotten along perfectly.

Haselbach is therefore "sold" as a new servant by Hanna, the arriving aunt, because there is a shortage of service personnel today and he is therefore tied up at home. But he has long since devised a plan to really get back at the old enemy of men, especially since various other "like-minded women" of Cassandras have also appeared. Haselbach thinks that all you need is a little mouse to scare the quirky fright. The sweet little gray animal is quickly worried and is released in the room at the moment when the blue stockings want to get back to business. Everyone screams and takes refuge in the chairs. In the general confusion, "Diener" Haselbach appears and shows himself as a "whole man", in which he quickly catches the wild little "monster" and thus stands in front of the women as a hero. Haselbach introduces himself as Hanna's husband and first leaves heir aunt Cassandra speechless. With a dead serious expression, Hanna explains that women can certainly do everything, just not catch mice and thus men are good for something, especially since she has a lot of mice at home, she initially gets general laughter and finally even Cassandra's blessing for this connection.

criticism

" Los from the man! Is the motto of the rich aunt from America. Therefore the young married niece has to come up with something to prove the indispensability of her husband to her aunt (...) This amusing thought is represented in a series of the most delicious scenes, which get their special flavor from the incredibly brisk acting of the actors. "
