Hildegard Matthäus

Hildegard Matthäus (born April 13, 1934 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ; † March 6, 2020 in Oberhausen ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school and graduating from commercial college and further training, she passed the state examination as a teacher for office technology in 1960 and the examination as a teacher for office organization and IT in 1964. She then worked as a specialist teacher at a vocational school.

Since 1961 she was a member of the CDU and represented in numerous committees.

MPs

From May 29, 1980 to May 31, 1995, Matthäus was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . She was elected from her party's national list.

She had been a member of the city council of Oberhausen since 1964.

Others

Matthäus was the bearer of the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon and First Class, the Ring of Honor of the City of Oberhausen and the Order of Merit of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia .
