Hildrun Siegrist

Hildrun Siegrist (born April 15, 1944 in Kagendorf ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1963 at the Käthe-Kollwitz-Gymnasium Neustadt , Siegrist completed an apprenticeship as a senior service at the city of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse . She then studied at the Administration and Business Academy until 1971, where she obtained an administrative diploma. She then worked in the administration of the city of Neustadt, at the Rhineland-Palatinate Court of Auditors and from 1995 to 2001 in the Mainz State Chancellery . Siegrist is married and has two children.

In 1972 Siegrist joined the SPD. From 1989 to 2004 she was a member of the Neustadt city council. In addition, she was from 1999 to 2003 chairwoman of the SPD sub-district Neustadt. From 2001 to 2011 Siegrist was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . There she represented constituency 42 (Neustadt an der Weinstrasse) and was chair of the committee for equality and the advancement of women.
