Plan of a possible civil protection center

Disaster control center (or also aid center or rescue center ) is a non-standardized term in Germany for a combination of accommodation from various aid organizations or accommodation of a single aid organization combined with disaster protection units . Fire and rescue stations are often combined, but the joint accommodation of emergency vehicles from the fire brigade and the THW can also be found in some places.

The disaster control center has the same internal differentiation as individual guards of the aid organizations, but through the joint construction it helps to minimize costs. In addition, there is the common route for all aid organizations and the simplification of alerting.

In Austria, this type of center, which comprises several organizations and is also not standardized, corresponds to the security center . The police are also partially integrated in these centers . There are such security centers in Bad Radkersburg , Langenlois or Brunn am Gebirge, for example .
