The Himalayan catnip ( Nepeta govaniana ) is a species of the genus of Catnip ( Nepeta ) into the family of Lamiaceae (Lamiaceae).

features

The Himalayan catnip is a perennial plant that reaches heights of 60 to 120 centimeters. The crown is 25 to 30 millimeters long and light yellow. The leaf blade is ovate to oblong or elliptical and 8 to 12 inches long. The inflorescence is loose. The cymes are long-stalked.

Flowering time is from August to September.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 18.

Occurrence

The Himalayan catnip occurs in the West Himalayas and Pakistan in bushes, open forests and humid places at altitudes of 2500 to 2950 meters.
