The Himmelstürmer Publishing is an established in 1998 in Hamburg German book publisher . Based in Binnen, Lower Saxony, since May 2019. The publishing house specializes in gay literature as a division . The publishing house is run in the legal form of a sole proprietorship . According to its own statements, it is now considered to be the “largest gay publisher in the field of fiction ”.

history

The publisher Achim Albers is the owner of Himmelstürmer Verlag . The publishing house was founded in 1998. Its aim was and is to publish “good gay entertainment literature ” and to look for lesser-known German authors or newcomers. So far more than 250 works by exclusively German-speaking authors have been published by Himmelstürmer Verlag .

The publisher now has around 25  new publications a year, each coming out in spring and autumn.

Publishing program

The program of Himmelstürmer Publisher is aimed primarily at male homosexuals . The publications are also sold through our own online bookshop and as e-books .

The main focus of the published book program is:

  • Gay fiction
  • Coming-out novels, especially the series "Junge Liebe"
  • Non-fiction books on homosexual topics
