Hinrich Sagittarius

Hinrich Schütze is a German computational linguist and current director of the Center for Information and Language Processing at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

Life

Schütze received his doctorate in computational linguistics from Stanford University in 1995 and then worked for several start-ups and research institutes in the United States (including Xerox PARC and Google) until 2004 . He then became a lecturer at the University of Stuttgart before he was offered a position at the University of Munich in 2013.

His main research interests are information retrieval , statistical NLP and deep learning with word embeddings .
