House Bohl

The house at Hintertorstraße 1 in the Frankenbach district of the city of Heilbronn is one of the few remaining private houses in the incorporated districts in the Expressionist style . The listed building is considered a cultural monument .

description

The building was built in 1855 for the Frankenbach shepherd Peter Martin Bohl. The building stands on a stone base and has a plastered half-timbered structure. The house has one and a half floors, half of which is the mezzanine under the hipped roof . The hipped roof itself is enriched by a dwelling .

The expressionism of the building can be seen in the gable forms, which were installed between 1920 and 1930 above the windows on the ground floor and above the portal, with the small gables above the windows differing significantly in size and number from those above the entrance area.

The building was no longer inhabited in 2007 and is in dire need of renovation.
