Hirai Taro

Hirai Tarō ( Japanese 平井 太郎 ; born July 17, 1905 in Kagawa Prefecture ; † December 4, 1973 ) was a Japanese politician.

Hirai was a member of the Sangiin , the House of Lords , for the Liberal Party and the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) from 1950 until his death . From 1958 to 1962 he was Vice President of the Chamber. From 1956 to 1957 he was Post Minister under Prime Ministers Ishibashi and Kishi .

Hirai's son-in-law Takushi (Labor Minister, LDP MP) and grandson Takuya (LDP MP) also became politicians.
