The Hiriko is a foldable two-seater light electric vehicle that was developed by the Hiriko Driving Mobility Consortium in the Basque Country ( Spain ). The electric car was the commercial implementation of the CityCar project developed by the Media Lab of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology since 2003 . The name Hiriko comes from the Basque word for "urban" or "urban".
