Hiroe Ike ( Japanese 広 江 池 'Breitbuchtsee' ) is a small lake on the Prince Harald Coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located on the northeastern bank of Breidvåg Bay .
Surveys and aerial photographs were taken by participants in a Japanese Antarctic expedition that ran from 1957 to 1962 . Japanese scientists named it in 1973 based on the name of the bay Breidvåg.
