Hiroshi Kobayashi
Hiroshi Kobayashi ( Japanese 小林 弘 , Kobayashi Hiroshi ; born August 23, 1944 in Isesaki , Gunma Prefecture , Japan ) is a former Japanese boxer and world champion of the WBC and WBA associations .
Career
He was able to make all of his first 19 fights victorious, most of which he won on points. When he faced Manzo Kikuchi for the Japanese championship in 1963 , he suffered his first defeat. He even lost his next fight prematurely. He also lost his next two fights on points. At the end of September he defeated Yuji Masuko for the Japanese championship title.
In December 1967 he met Yoshiaki Numata and took the world championship of the associations WBC and WBA from him with a classic knockout victory in the 12th round. He was able to defend the title with a draw against René Barrientos the following year .
