Don't deer on the sofa

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Deer not on the sofa (HNAS for short) was an avant-garde band that released a series of surrealist and dadaist recordings from 1983 to 1993. Members were Achim P. Li Khan and Christoph Heemann . Because of their experimentation and energy, the band is often compared to Nurse With Wound . Characteristic for HNAS is a bizarre humor, which is particularly clearly reflected in the names of tracks and albums ( steam from a disco nozzle , mother, I don't understand art , Petrus came from Berchtesgaden , tons of weight in evening dress , good-natured ! The urge intensifies Etc.). HNAS released under their own label Dom, which was later expanded by the sublabels Dom Elchklang, Dom Bartwuchs and Dom America (the latter led by the band's friend Jon Carlson).

In 1993 Heemann and P. Li Khan parted ways, who turned to projects such as Brigitte And The Hansen Experience, Damenbart, Korea Soundblaster, Dieter Bauknecht and Rowenta / Khan (with Frank Rowenta ). Heemann produced numerous recordings solo and with the groups Mimir (with Jim O'Rourke , Andreas Martin and Edward Ka-Spel from The Legendary Pink Dots ), Mirror (with Andrew Chalk) and In Camera (with Timo Van Luijk) and was above all also known for his production work for artists such as Charlemagne Palestine , Tony Conrad , Keiji Haino , Limpe Fuchs and collaboration with Nurse With Wound and Current 93 . The Dom label was split into Dom Elchklang (Khan) and the Dom Bartwuchs continuing label Streamline (Heemann).
