Yamada Hisanari
Yamada Hisanari ( Japanese 山田 久 就 ; born January 13, 1907 in Kyoto ; † December 15, 1987 ) was a Japanese diplomat and politician of the Liberal Democratic Party , member of parliament and environment minister from 1977 to 1978.
Life
After completing his studies (political science) at the law faculty of the Imperial University of Tokyo , he entered the diplomatic service . From 1940 he was in the East Asia Department , from 1942 he was active in the Greater East Asia Ministry. In 1945 he became sanjikan (position below the permanent state secretaries) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs . From March 1958 to December 1960 he was a permanent state secretary ( jimujikan ), then from May 1961 to December 1963 ambassador to the Soviet Union. In 1964 he ended his civil service career and turned to politics.
In the 1967 election he was elected in the newly created three-mandate constituency Tokyo 8 with the highest percentage of votes as a member of the Shūgiin . Under the second cabinet of Prime Minister Tanaka Kakuei , he was one of two parliamentary state secretaries in the Foreign Ministry from 1973. In 1977 he was head of the environmental agency in the restructured Fukuda cabinet . In 1979 he only received the fourth highest percentage of votes in his constituency and then withdrew from politics.

- 1960: Great Cross of Merit with Star and Shoulder Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany
- 1977: Honorary citizen of Fukuno , to which his hometown Hiratsuka in Higashitonami County in Toyama Prefecture belonged at the time. Today the place is part of Nanto
