Hispasat 1E is a commercial television satellite operated by the Spanish satellite operator Hispasat .
Hispasat 1E was ordered from Space Systems / Loral on July 9, 2008 and launched into geostationary orbit on December 29, 2010 at 21:27 UTC from the Center Spatial Guyanais in Kourou together with Koreasat 6 on board an Ariane 5 . It was exposed in a geostationary transition orbit 27 minutes and 27 seconds after take-off.
The three-axis stabilized satellite with 53 Ku-band - and additional Ka-band - transponders equipped and supplied from the position 30 ° West of the Europe and America with television in Spanish and Portuguese. It was based on the LS1300 - satellite bus built the Space Systems / Loral and has a design life of 18 years.
