Historic houses and gardens of Saxony-Anhalt
The Association of Historic Houses and Gardens of Saxony-Anhalt was founded in 2015. It is an association of private owners of castles, palaces, manors, monasteries and their gardens in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. The focus of the association's work is the representation of the interests of the members, tourism marketing and training of the members and their employees. The association is organized as a registered association (e.V.), its headquarters are in the Maxdorf manor not far from Köthen. The annual highlight is the “Open Castle Day” on Whit Monday. The chairman of the association is the cultural historian Matthias Prasse .
