History of the Arabs ( . English for History of the Arabs ) is a classic of Arabic Studies from the American - Lebanese Islamic scholar Philip Khuri Hitti (1886 to 1978), about the history of the Arabs from the beginning of Islam in the Middle Ages, their conquests, their empires the Time of their greatness and decline. An Arabic translation of the work was published by Dār Ġandūr in Beirut in 1990 .

The Chinese scholar of Islam and Koran translator Ma Jian translated it into Chinese after the tenth edition of 1970 , published by the Commercial Press in 1979.
