St. Johannes Nepomuk in Strebersdorf

The St. John of Nepomuk is a stone statue of St. John Nepomuk in the front yard of the house Fillenbaumgasse 27 in Strebersdorf in the 21st Viennese district of Floridsdorf .

history

The statue was created before 1887. The statue originally stood in the front yard of the police school. Because of the new road construction, the figure was moved in 1887. Originally the figure was painted in color.

description

The figure of St. John Nepomuk stands in a chapel-like structure in a front garden. The stone statue is a classic representation of the saint. It shows him with a beret on his head and the attributes of a martyr's palm and a crucifix in his arms. The chapel is younger than the statue.
