Hlabisa (also Hiabisa ) is a place in the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal . It is located in the Big Five Hlabisa community in the UMkhanyakude district .
In 2011, Hlabisa had 2,469 inhabitants. The city is at an altitude of 460 meters. The city is a center for services in the community. There is a hospital, taxi rank, shops and schools here. Until 2016, Hlabisa was the administrative center of the Hlabisa municipality .
