The Hobart rock is a low cliff rocks on the north coast of South Georgia . It is located on the south side of King Edward Cove in Cumberland East Bay .
The name of the rock is first included on a map, which was created based on surveys of King Edward Cove, which the crew of the HMS Sappho , a cruiser of the Apollo class had in 1906 carried out. The further naming background has not been passed down.
