Planing chisel

The planing chisel is a tool that is used in cutting (metal) processing .

In metalworking , the planing chisel is used for planing . It is very similar to the turning tool . Straight chisels are almost identical, because the type of machining used for planing and shaping is identical.

In mining technology , planing chisels ( coal planers ) and cutting chisels ( cutting machine ) are used in the extraction of coal and salt, for example.

The cutting tools used when planing wood are called plane irons or (on machines) plane knives .

In the vegetable slicer it is called a blade .
