Hochheimer Berg
The Hochheimer Berg is a 35 hectare Rheingau vineyard . It is assigned to the large Hochheimer Daubhaus site in the Rheingau wine-growing region and, like the neighboring single site Hochheimer Reichestal to the south, extends across borders in the districts of Hochheim am Main in the Main-Taunus district and Mainz-Kostheim in the state capital Wiesbaden .
Name origin
The name of this vineyard comes from the structure of the terrain, which is a small mountain and continues as St. Kiliansberg in Kostheim .
Vineyard
The soils consist of loess loam and loess with partly gravelly tertiary marls . The wines are fine and elegant and have a restrained acidity.
