Hochheimer Reichestal
The Hochheimer Reichestal is an approximately 58 hectare Rheingau vineyard . It is assigned to the large Hochheimer Daubhaus site in the Rheingau wine-growing region and, like the neighboring single site Hochheimer Berg to the north, extends across borders in the districts of Hochheim am Main in the Main-Taunus district and Mainz-Kostheim in the state capital of Wiesbaden .
Like all Hochheimer vineyards, the vineyards of the Hochheimer Reichestal cover parts of the approximately 35-meter-high step above the Lower Main Plain on the southern edge of the Main-Taunus foreland. Located to the southwest of Hochheim's old town, the Reichestal extends from the Main meadows to about half the height of the terrain. The soils consist of well-rooted sandy loess loam over partly gravelly tertiary marls .
