The Hochstubaihütte is the highest alpine club hut in the Dresden section of the German Alpine Club in the Stubai Alps . The hut is located on the Wildkarspitze at an altitude of 3173  m above sea level. A.

History

The high alpine refuge was built between 1930 and 1933 by the Dresden section of the then German and Austrian Alpine Club . After the Second World War , the hut stood empty and was managed by the Austrian Alpine Club . It was managed again from 1961 and was bought back in the 1970s by the Dresden Section - based in Wuppertal and Böblingen during the GDR era. The hut was last expanded in 2011 to include a medical wing.

  • From Sölden via the Kleblealm , Laubkarsee, Laubkarsattel in approx. 6 hours
  • From Fiegls Gasthaus via Seekarsee, Unterstandshütte and Himmelsleiter (steep) in approx. 5 hours
