history

"Hope for Eastern Europe" was founded in 1994 to work with evangelical and ecumenical partners in Central and Eastern Europe to improve the social situation in the former Eastern Bloc countries after the collapse of the Soviet Union . Initially, the sponsor was the diaconal work of the Evangelical Church in Germany . Some free churches , the Gustav-Adolf-Werk and the Martin-Luther-Bund were also involved in the action. In 2011 the aid organization was restructured and shifted to the level of the regional churches .
