The Martin Luther Bund is the Diaspora work of VELKD and went in 1932 from the merger of regional treasury teams out, the first in 1853 by Ludwig Adolf Petri , Rudolf Steinmetz and Friedrich Münchmeyer in Hanover was founded. The association coordinates its work closely with the Gustav-Adolf-Werk of the EKD .
