The Hofgarten Clinic is a listed building at Hofgartenstrasse 6 in Aschaffenburg . The former school building is now used as a clinic.

history

The house was built between 1910 and 1912 and from 1913 it was used as the girls' school of the daughter school association. The director was initially Georg Kunkel. In 1931 the school went bankrupt. The property was then bought by the physician Friedrich Wahlig (1902–1967), who converted it into a surgical clinic. He headed the facility until 1962. In that year it was taken over by Günter Bredow, under whose aegis the first accident clinic in Aschaffenburg was set up. After extensive renovation in 1988, the building was listed as a historical monumentposed; In 1990/91 an administration wing and an underground operating wing were added. In 1994 a private investor bought the clinic and let it continue as an affiliated clinic. In 1995/96 the building was completely renovated and expanded again. Several new departments were created in the following years. In 2007 the clinic was taken over by the Capio group . The clinic has 65 beds.
