The Hogg Islands are a group of small islands off the Mawson coast of the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . They are located 800 m south of the island of Camels in the northern part of the Stanton Group .
Aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen Expedition 1936/37 and later the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) were used to map them. An ANARE dog sled team visited her in 1969 while on a trip to the Taylor Glacier . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it after the Australian doctor John Hugh Wilson Hogg (* 1943), who worked at Mawson Station in 1969 .
