The Stanton Group is a group of small and rocky islands off the Mawson coast of the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . They are 6 km northeast of Falla Bluff on the east side of Utstikkar Bay . They include Camels Island and the Hogg Islands .
Participants in the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (1929–1931), led by the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson, discovered it in February 1931. Mawson named it after Arthur Max Stanton (1899–1963), first officer of the research vessel RRS Discovery II from 1930 to 1931.
