Location of the Hohenbogen barracks in Bavaria

The Hohenbogen barracks was a barracks of the Bundeswehr in Bad Kötzting , which was named after the Hoher Bogen ridge .

It was built in 1965 and used by the Telecommunications Sector F Telecommunications Regiment 72 of the Bundeswehr Air Force, which was set up in Furth im Wald in 1961 . The deployment position of the unit was the reconnaissance tower on the Hohe Bogen .

As part of the troop reductions in the Bundeswehr after 1990 , the telecommunications sector F was dissolved. The barracks was abandoned in 2004 and has been used as a youth, sports and conference center since 2015 .
