The Hohenlimburger SV , full name Hohenlimburger swimming club eV , is a sports club with the departments of water polo , swimming and tennis in the eastern Hagen district Hohenlimburg .

Vereinseigen is an outdoor pool with a 50-meter lane , the Henkhausen outdoor pool , which until 2010 was usually roofed over with an air dome in winter .

In the club both are latitude and recreational sports as well, in the field of water polo, competitive sports operated. In July 2010, the final round of the women's water polo in the Bundesliga was hosted by Hohenlimburger SV with the following final score: 1. (Master) Blau-Weiß Bochum , 2. Bayer Uerdingen, 3. Neukölln, 4. Hanover, 5. Wuppertal, 6. Hohenlimburg.

Water polo

The men's team of the water polo department was in the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1993, but lost there in the first leg with 14:11 and in the second leg with 12: 9 against the winner Libertas Nuoto Pescara .

The women's team became German women's water polo champions in the 1998/99 premiere season of the women's water polo league - without having given up a single point. The only defeat of the season was in the final of the DSV Cup.
