Location of Hoiersdorf in Lower Saxony

Hoiersdorf is one of the three districts of Schöningen in the Helmstedt district in Lower Saxony .

Hoiersdorf is located about 1 km southwest of Schöningen on the federal highway 244 . The district is very rural and currently has around 850 inhabitants.

Due to a major fire in 1851, the place hardly has any older buildings. Economic life was determined for decades by a sugar factory and a cement factory owned by Nordzement AG.

On March 1, 1974, Hoiersdorf was incorporated into the city of Schöningen.

In the village there is the church of St. Nikolai. Your parish belongs to the Propstei Helmstedt.
