Hoken 4 (Quedlinburg)
The house Hoken 4 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .
location
It stands west of the Quedlinburg town hall, north of the town's market square. The western side of the eaves faces Marktstrasse , the eastern one faces Hoken Street . To the north of the building there is a passage from Hoken to Marktstrasse. The house is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and is listed as a residential building in the Quedlinburg Register of Monuments . The Hoken 3 house , which is also listed, is adjacent to the south .
Architecture and history
The three-storey half - timbered house was built at the beginning of the 16th century. On the eastern facade there are overlapping footbands. A small biaxial bay window is added to the south end of the first floor . The second floor overhangs. There is a box oriel on the western facade . The building was renovated in the second half of the 17th century. Here the house received pyramid beam heads .
