Holdermühle is a living space within the boundaries of the Creglinger district Archshofen in Main-Tauber-Kreis in Franconia dominated northeastern Baden-Wuerttemberg .

geography

The border between the federal states of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg runs through the Holdermühle estate approx. 500 m downstream from Tauberzell . The “borderline” of the Holdermühle is shown by the following interesting detail: The power supply comes from Tauberzell (Bavaria), while the telephone line comes from Archshofen with the area code for Creglingen (Baden-Württemberg).

It is also curious that the state border runs right through the middle of the former cowshed. So it came about that some cows ate in Baden-Württemberg, but dropped their excrement on Bavarian soil. Today the cowshed has been converted into guest rooms, some of which offer the possibility to spend the night on one half of the double bed in Baden-Württemberg and the other in Bavaria.

history

On the measuring table sheet no. 6526 "Creglingen" from 1934, the place was recorded as a Holdermühle with three buildings.

The place came as part of the formerly independent municipality of Archshofen on February 1, 1972 to the city of Creglingen.
