The RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland ( RND ) is the editorial team for national content for the Madsack publishing company in Hanover . Its largest limited partner is the Deutsche Druck- und Verlagsgesellschaft , the SPD's media holding company .

The RND was founded in 2013. According to its own information, it supplies "more than 50 daily newspapers with a total daily circulation of more than 2.3 million copies" with national content. According to its own statements, the RND thus reaches “around 7 million readers every day”. The RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland includes the RND Berlin office and the RND Digital Hub, which produces national content for news portals of daily newspapers. External customers include Neue Westfälische and the editorial network Westphalia. In August 2018, the editor-in-chief at the time stated that the regional newspapers could save their editing for the cover pages, i.e. the national part, thanks to the services of the RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland, and thus concentrate on reporting on the local and regional.

On October 1, 2018, the RND and the DuMont media group merged their capital city editorial offices . For this purpose, RND Berlin GmbH was founded, in which RND has a 75 percent stake and DuMont media group with 25 percent.

The news portal RND.de was launched on September 3, 2019. On October 1, 2019, the Radio.net audio service was integrated into the RND.

Marco Fenske has been editor-in-chief of the RND since January 2019 . In March 2019, Fenske took over the management of the RND together with Hannah Suppa. Suppa was also appointed "Editor-in-Chief Digital Transformation and Innovation in the Regional".
