Holger Dremel
Holger Dremel (* 1972 in Scheßlitz ) is a German politician of the CSU . He has been a member of the Bavarian State Parliament since November 5, 2018 .
Life
Dremel was the head of the investigation team at the Bamberg City Police Department. With around 20 employees, he was responsible for fighting crime in the city of Bamberg, including the Upper Franconia reception center (AEO).
Holger Dremel is also involved in various honorary offices and local associations. Among other things, he is chairman of the Scheßlitzer Vereine eV, an amalgamation of 20 local associations that shape cultural life in Scheßlitz. Dremel is also head of the “Long Night” organization team, a street festival that has been taking place every two years since the 1200th anniversary in Scheßlitz. Furthermore, Holger Dremel is one of the organizers of the “Scheßlitzer Wirtschaftstage”. In addition, Holger Dremel is, among other things, a church organist.
Holger Dremel lives in Scheßlitz in the Bamberg district. He is married, Roman Catholic and has three children.

Dremel began his political career in 1995 as a member of the JU Scheßlitz. There he was a member of the local executive committee until 2007. Since 2008 he has been a member of the Scheßlitz city council. He has also been a member of the Communal Political Association (KPV) since 2008. Since 2009 he has been CSU local chairman in his hometown Scheßlitz. In 2011 he was also elected as an assessor in the CSU district executive committee Bamberg-Land. In the same year Holger Dremel also became a member of the Police Working Group. There he is currently Deputy Regional Chairman of the Police Working Group (AK POL) Bamberg / Forchheim. From 2014 to 2019, Dremel also volunteered as the second mayor of the city of Scheßlitz. In the state election in 2018, Holger Dremel won the direct mandate in the Bamberg-Land constituency with 45.99 percent, well ahead of the second-placed AfD candidate Florian Köhler with 14.46 percent. Holger Dremel has been a member of the CSU parliamentary group in the Bavarian state parliament since November 5, 2018 . There he is a member of the “Committee for Local Issues, Internal Security and Sport” and the “Committee for Public Service Issues”.
