Hooded Menace is a Finnish death doom band from Joensuu that was formed in 2007.

history

The band was founded in the summer of 2007 by Lasse Pyykkö. The band developed the first songs and released the first demo The Eyeless Horde in 2007. In 2008 the demo was released again as an EP on Doomentia Records . The band reached a contract with Razorback Records and released their debut album Fulfill the Curse on CD in 2008 with this label . The vinyl version was released a year later on Doomentia Records. In 2009 the band signed a contract with Profound Lore Records and released the album Never Cross the Dead in 2010 . This was followed by Split -publications at Doomentia Records, as well as a vinyl version of Never Cross the Dead . In 2010, Doomentia re- released Fulfill the Curse . In June 2011 Relapse Records took the band again under contract. The band is expected to release their album Effigies of Evil on September 11, 2012 in Europe and on September 25, 2012 in the USA .

The band plays a mix of Doom and Death Metal, with influences from bands like Cathedral , Candlemass and Asphyx being audible.
