Hooge Loogen

Hooge Loogen is the Low German name for higher-lying villages. This was the name given to the ancient villages on the Geest in the middle of East Frisia in the Middle Ages . These villages included Holtland , Hesel , Strackholt , Aurich-Oldendorf , Bagband , Holtrop , Reepsholt , Ardorf and Westerende .
