description
In 1980 the Hopewell Center was opened. With a height of 222 meters, it was the tallest building in China for ten years and replaced the Jardine House in this respect . It is by far not the tallest building in Hong Kong, but it is still noticeable today because of its cylindrical shape.
In 1994 Hopewell Holdings planned a second building called the Hopewell Center II. According to the original plans, this should be 93 stories high. In 2008 the plan was revised and from then on contained 55 floors. Construction work began in 2012, but has never been further built since then.
The Hopewell Center address is 183 Queen's Road, Wan Chai .
