Hor Pooh

Hor Pooh (alternative spellings: Ho Pook, Hor Poa, Hor Lup Chut ) was an American businessman and the end of the 19th century mayor ( mayor ) in New York 's Chinatown .

Hor Pooh was in the Chinese born Province Taishan. He was one of the leaders in the Tong Wars . In 1873 he emigrated to the USA and moved to New York via San Francisco (1881).

After three marriages and several trips to China, he finally returned to his homeland.
