The Horabagridae are a family of South and Southeast Asian catfish with four genera and twelve species. The close relationship of these genera and species has so far only been based on molecular biological studies and is not supported by morphological features. Horabagrus originally belonged to the spiny catfish ( Bagridae), the other three genera to the glass catfish (Schilbeidae). Probably the Horabagridae are closely related to the spiny catfish and possibly their sister group .
The species of the Horabagridae reach body lengths of 7 to 90 cm.
