Horacio Sequeira , full name Hugo Horacio Sequeira Sosa , (born September 30, 1995 in Salto ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

According to his club, the 1.73 meter tall, "Mencho" named offensive player Sequeira comes from the youth division of Danubios and made his debut in the 2013 Apertura in the first team. For the Montevideans , he completed 17 games in the Primera División in the 2013/14 season and scored one goal. The team won the Apertura and national championship titles that season. In the 2014/15 season he was used in seven first division games (one goal). In mid-July 2015, he was loaned to league rivals Centro Atlético Fénix . Premier division appearances are not recorded there. At the end of January 2016 he returned to Danubio and was then immediately transferred to the second division club Cerro Largo FC . With the East Uruguayans he played twelve second division games (no goal) in the Clausura. At the end of July 2016, he joined the first division team River Plate Montevideo . In the 2016 season he only played one first division game (no goal) with the Montevideans. At the end of January 2017, he returned to Cerro Largo FC.

National team

Sequeira has been a member of the Uruguayan U-20 national team , overseen by coach Fabián Coito , since at least April 2014 . There he was in the starting line-up for the game on April 15, 2014 against the Chilean selection and contributed to the 3-0 victory with one goal. He also played the two international matches against Peru on August 6, 2014 and September 22, 2014.

He was a member of the Uruguayan squad at the U-20 South American Championship 2015 in Uruguay.
