Horchata lojana

Horchata lojana is a traditional herbal tea made from 28 aromatic and medicinal plants , which comes from the Loja province in Ecuador .

The individual ingredients are: Escancel, Ataco, Malva esencia, Malva olorosa, lemongrass, cedrón, lemon balm , begonias, claveles, pena pena, rose petals, peppermint , real chamomile , congona, linseed , pimpinella, cucharillo, malva goma, cadillo, shullo , Horsetail , llantén, borage, orange leaves, malva blanca, common dost, fragrant violets and grama dulce.

preparation

Like other herbal teas, Horchata lojana is poured over with boiling water. After a steeping time of around 5 minutes, it is usually seasoned with lime or lemon juice and sweetened with honey or brown sugar.
