Annemarie Zimmermann
Annemarie Zimmermann (born June 10, 1940 in Lendersdorf ) is a former German canoeist.
Zimmermann started for the canoe department of the HSG ( Holzheimer Sportgemeinschaft 1920 eV).
successes
- Gold medalist at the 1964 Olympic Games (time: 1: 56.95) and the 1968 Olympic Games (time: 1: 56.44) in a 2-person kayak over 500 m together with Roswitha Esser
- 1963 world champion in a two-seater kayak with Roswitha Esser
- German champion in 2-person kayaks over 500 m with Roswitha Esser in 1962, 1963, 1964, 1968 and 1969 and 1-person kayak in 1964
- European champion in 1963 and bronze in 1969 with Roswitha Esser in a 2-person kayak, plus silver in 1969 in a 4-person kayak with Roswitha Esser, Renate Breuer and Elke Felten

- Sportswoman of the year 1964 together with Roswitha Esser
- Second in the election of the athlete of the century in 1999, elected by the Neuss-Grevenbroicher Zeitung together with Roswitha Esser
