Roswitha Esser (born January 18, 1941 in Bad Godesberg ) is a former German canoeist .

successes

  • Gold medalist at the 1964 Olympic Games (time: 1: 56.95) and the 1968 Olympic Games (time: 1: 56.44) in a two- person kayak over 500 m together with Annemarie Zimmermann
  • In 1963 with Annemarie Zimmermann and in 1970 with Renate Breuer she won gold at the world championships
  • German champion in two-person kayaks over 500 m with Annemarie Zimmermann in 1962, 1963, 1964, 1968, 1969, as well as with Irene Rozema in 1965, with Erika Rekitt in 1966 and Roswitha Spohr in 1972, as well as in one- person kayak in 1965, 1966 and 1967
