The Pomeranian aristocratic von Horn family can be traced from the 14th to the 17th century.

The Horn "with the boar's head" in the coat of arms were also Vorpommern with, but north of the Peene established what has been family (from) Horn (with a hunting horn in the arms) is not the same strain.

history

The von Horn are first occupied on November 29, 1397 and again on November 30, 1400 with Janeke van Horne as owner of the fiefs Tutow and Zemmin . Tutow was the family seat. The Tutower and the Müssentiner line were enfeoffed as a whole .

During a church visit in 1587 Wedige, Kaspar and Lippold von Horn were mentioned on Zemmin. The family owned Breechen in 1629 and Japzow in 1635 .

The last known member of the family was Adam von Horn, who was a lieutenant colonel in the Swedish service and was mentioned at the end of the 17th century. The property was eventually acquired by the von Parsenow family.

The coat of arms shows a black boar head with a red neck section turned to the right in the blue field. The helmet between two buffalo horns has blue, red and black covers .
