A horn is a vessel made from animal horns or a corresponding shape that serves as a container .

In Bovidae ( horn-carriers , including beef, antelope, goat, sheep, giraffe), the horn is a hollow covering of horny substance over a bone cone. This structure comes off easily and was therefore used in many ways as a vessel.

Examples:

The horn is a popular common figure in heraldry, and that includes the buffalo horns .
The cornucopia is a symbol of abundant wealth .
